Retrofit method
The retrofit method is used for the permanent monitoring of existing structures with fibre optic cables and probes. For example, temperature probe tubes are driven into a dam and then equipped with bend-optimised hybrid fibre optic cables. In this way, an existing structure can be permanently monitored for leaks using the fibre-optic cables and probes.
