Groundwater is an important raw material that must be protected. At the same time, however, groundwater is also a risk factor, for example in civil engineering, and a transport medium for pollutants.

Rock Laboratories
With more than 30 years of research in rock laboratories for radioactive waste storage, Solexperts now has state-of-the-art geochemical, rock mechanics and hydrogeological testing and monitoring equipment. Our customers also benefit from our network with many leading earth science universities and research institutions.
Energy transition
Many countries have committed to reducing CO2 emissions. The geosphere is playing an increasingly important role in renewable energy. For new (pumped) storage power plants or geothermal energy, especially deep geothermal energy for power generation, sequestration of CO2 or geological energy storage in the form of heat, hydrogen or compressed air, the hydrogeological conditions at the project site must be studied in detail.
Lithium
The replacement of the combustion engine by electrically powered vehicles is currently taking place. Electric vehicles require lithium batteries. The largest lithium deposits are found in the groundwater of salt lakes, especially in South America. Exploration and mining of these deposits requires in-depth knowledge of the hydogeology and geochemistry. For SQM, one of the largest lithium producers, Solexperts has been supplying the hydrogeological measuring instruments and services for 10 years, which provide the data for a profound characterization of the lithium deposits.
